■ OUR STORY

We are Guacamaya, a versatile wedding/corporate Latin Band that has been heading out across the UK since June 2016, Taking our unique festival-vibe sets out to pack dance floors up and down the UK. We cover a massive range of songs, multiple genres and most importantly, multiple decades.

Our mission is simply to pack your dance floor and give you and your guests a party you’ll never forget. As well as Latin Jazz, Salsa and Samba, we perform a wide variety of rhythms and styles, including Brit Pop, Psychedelic Cumbia, Afrobeat, Calypso, Reggae, Rumba, Balkan, Drum’n’Bass, Cha Cha Cha, Disco, Soul, Bolero, Boogaloo, Surf Music, Rock, R’n’B and more.

The twist in this tale? We also play British and American pop bangers with a vivid Latin twist, covering Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Bill Withers, Chaka Khan, Fatboy Slim and a whole heap more.

Since 2025 Guacamaya is creating their own music. We are exploring the way to melt Venezuelan drumming from the African heritage that slavery left during the 1,800’s age with the styles mentioned before, Making a fresh, modern and digestible pot of world music with the finest elements of the current age.

Guacamaya will be releasing their first album in 2026, We will be announcing the release dates soon.

Our line-up is flexible, with everything from a solo artist, a duo, a trio, a 4-piece band, 5-piece band, and a 6-piece band, complete with samba dancers.

The core of our band is formed around four professional musicians, all from original music backgrounds. Each of the four have focussed their studies and careers on the fusing together of Caribbean, South American and African music, resulting in a melting pot of more than 22 styles and original arrangements. Projecting our authentic Latin style through our half- Venezuelan, half-Spanish lead singer, we create an alternative, pop, latin vibe that instantly engages with audiences of all music tastes and backgrounds.
